In this Erasmus+ mobility event we focused on low-threshold options to influence the micro-climate in our living spaces. During intra-and extracurricular activities, students learned about the importance of the micro-climate for urban heat islands. By practising a hands-on approach, they gained knowledge and experience first hand and thus internalised ways of improving the micro-climate in their immediate surroundings.

The Bergmann farm was rediscovered and revived in 2012 as a residential project with a workshop. Since then, two hectares of green space have been designed and cultivated according to a holistic concept that also applies permaculture principles. In addition to the central aspects of biodiversity, education for sustainable development and the meeting and networking character, the garden serves as a pleasant rest and relaxation area as well as a place for cultural events.
